10 Dec 2008 PC RACES Core Group Minutes

Members present: Chuck Michels, Dan Donnelly, Stan Hamnett, Henry Zappia, T.J. Gugliotta, and Bill Hickey

Discussed January meeting, table top exercise Chuck attended recently, getting first level of communications streamlined for emergency phone tree, putting satellite dish on the Warrior (deferred), N5VA Dick Powell wants to get the VA on HF, no RACES meeting Wed, 24 Dec 2008 @ 8:00 AM. All members should expect a Communicator call about the General Membership meeting.

0800 EOC Marvin Stafford, Frank Brady, Steve Lane, Joe Hew, Tim Gugliotta, Tom Long, Chuck Michels, Bill Walker, Gail Peterson. County - Dave Lenox, Paul Taylor.

No meeting 5/16/07 due to room schedule conflict.

The meeting was devoted to coming training and exercise discussion.

Members should refer to the Catagory "News Events-Upcoming" schedule on this stie and join in Saturday nets or contact Chuck Michels for further information on participation in training and exercises.

Joe T enrolled in JIC/JIS exercise for PIOs and reported on the PIO course just taken through AZ Government University.
We continue to discus the Communicator and the call protocol.
Event calendar refined for May and member coverage confirmed.
Tim discussed the need for further refining and practice of packet and FNPack for future exercises.
Chuck indicated that we need to get a packet software package to NWOV hospital and Joe T gave him the package.

 

Core Group Minutes

0800 hrs @ EOC as usual. Chuck KB7RFI, Tom N7HOR, Tim KD7LUP, Gail N7BXX, Joe N3SRU, Marvin KB7GNX, Bob W3OWR, Joe N7SQF, Frank N0KWP, Dan KC7VDA.

Chuck reviewed the Communicator results for the exercise on 4/21. Refinements will be made on an on-going basis. The system successfully reached 42 people and 16 participated at the Mission Road facility and 1 at NW Hospital.

Personnel scheduling for a USGS event on 4/28 and State of the County event on 5/4 were taken care of. The TOAD and Warrior will be on display.
